SUCCESS IS NOT THE DESTINATION IT IS THE JOURNEY

We are journeying towards Christ and wish to be united with him to have an intimate relationship.

We the temporary professed sisters from different Provinces of India, Fourteen of us arrived at Sirumalai by the evening of 24th April 2019. Sisters from the Sirumalai community came to receive us. Those of us who were new to Sirumalai were spellbound by the beauty of the mount and all of us enjoyed the trip from the foot of the hill to the top. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Sr. Prameela the Superior and the sisters of the community of J.M. J. Retreat house.

As we stepped into this fabulous place the waves of expectations in our minds immersed in us to rejuvenate ourselves with the Divine romance and fill ourselves with his love as we empty ourselves to be fitting instruments in the hands of our Creator as vessels of hope.

We were eager to meet each other, some after long years of separation could not wait for any longer from sharing their sweet memories of togetherness.
On 25th April we had orientation and inaugural prayer by Sr. Mary Kutty the provincial of the Raipur province. Her encouraging words and meaningful prayer service made us to feel happy in the presence of one another.

From 26th to 28th April we had classes on constitutions by Sr. Rosily Abraham through which we equipped with the knowledge of the distilled essence of the spirituality, Charism, mission and vision of our congregation and our response to the divine call through the inspirations of our founder.
From 29th April to 3rd May we had seminar guided by Fr. Bernard Shaw OFM. The topic was inner healing.  Emotional past with emotional wounds are a continual process. We need to be healed physically, emotionally and spiritually to be effective in our mission but for my behavior towards particular feelings I can make a choice to behave well.
From 5th and 7th May we had seminar guided by sr. Mary Kutty on NLP through which we learned to organize our thoughts and actions.
From 8th &9th May we had a seminar on Intimacy with God by Fr. Shijo VC who started his classes by instilling a thought in us in God’s voice saying “WILL YOU BE MY CHILD?” the divine experience we had through these two days of the seminar was unforgettable.

From 11th to 15th May we had a seminar on Spirit and Charism by Sr. Shyamala JMJ guiding  us to “GIVE THE PAST A FUTURE” giving us knowledge about our congregation and helped us to have a deep sense of gratitude towards our founder and the pioneer sisters who toiled tirelessly in order to make our stay more comfortable. she instilled in us love for the mission to embrace the future as vessels of hope.

From 17th to 19th May Sr. Brigit has given a seminar on Eucharistic Community. The real meaning of the Eucharist has been brought to our knowledge and we were filled with the love of Christ as we recalled his sacrificial life. And he wants us to be like him in the community by giving ourselves to one another.
