In an era, when education of girls was more often seen as a taboo and anti traditional, St.Theresa’s Girls’ High School, a minority educational institution was established by the catholic congregation called the Society of Jesus Mary and Joseph (JMJ) founded by

Rev. Fr. Mathias Wolff, S.J, Holland. Who had a vision of educating and empowering the girls to become well accomplished women.

With its motto – Love, Joy and Service, St. Theresa’s Girls’ High School was established with a profound mission to liberate and empower the girl children by offering holistic and quality education to all. In this world of glamorous education, Theresa School is relentless in its efforts to teach the children the noblest principles of life to become responsible and accomplished citizens in service of the society. billed its mission of imparting high quality education rooted in love and service which only can bring about a culture of peace in the society in particular and the country in general.

From very humble beginnings in 1968 St. Theresa’s  Girls’ High School has grown leaps and bounds with 95 teaching faculty, about 2700 students thus now stands tall and proud with impressive infrastructure in a symphony of brown and cream equipped with the latest innovations in technology, expansive playing field and an eco-friendly campus with lush greenery. The school has grown from strength to strength under the able leadership and guidance of many principals, and now occupies the place of pride in the neighborhood. Talented students from the school have excelled not only in academics but also made a footprint in literary, sports and cultural activities.

The school is located in the heart of the city yet away from the hassle of traffic and noise and offering the following features:
A multipurpose auditorium that is acoustically engineered to conduct various events and programmes.

A wide range of sports facilities are made available to groom the students into physically strong and mentally active.
48 classrooms and 5 staff rooms in the state block and  30 classrooms and 3 staff rooms in the CBSE block which are airy, spacious, well ventilated and equipped with highly trendy and comfortable furniture.

For medical facilities, the school uses the services of St.Theresa’s Hospital which is situated adjacent to the school and is run by the same management.
The school provides all facilities to the children by nurturing creative skills like Dance, Karate, Skating, Music and Art, etc which are an integral part of the school curriculum to build all round development of the students.
