The tiny seed that was sown in Guntur more than a Century ago nourished with great love and generosity by the missionaries and no less by the daughters of the soil has grown and branched out to the various parts of the country. The ever changing and progressing society with its scientific and technological advances has its impact on J.M.J. Health Care System. Our health care ministry moved parallel to the changing times and tried to keep its services abreast of the latest scientific tempo to a certain extent.
The healing ministry of Lord Jesus Christ is being continued by a good number of JMJ sisters from Hyderabad province with dedication, showing Christ’s merciful love to the suffering humanity. We have multispecialty teaching Hospital, Speciality Hospitals in Cities and towns, Care and support Centre, wholeness centre and village health Mission. We strive to become real friends of humanity, willing to serve with high spirit of sacrifice, caring love, sympathy and tenderness. As we try to cure the bodily ailments we also pay special attention to mental and spiritual well-being of all our patients and Students. Nursing Education is also run by us with School and College of nursing, training good number of Nurses from all over India moulding these young women to be effective and committed nurses, deep-rooted in the Gospel values.

Health services are one of the largest activities of the Province, Providing high quality, low-cost health services is one of the cornerstones of our work.
Our thrust also has been to reach the rural areas with medical camps, Health visits, School Health Programmes, Health literacy, Personnel health programme, Family health programme, Geriatric care programmes, Cancer awareness programmes through Self Breast Examination for the early detection of Breast Cancer.
Orientation courses are conducted for the sisters in Healing Ministry in order that they may equip themselves to face the new challenges, bearing witness to the Gospel values. JMJ Health Care Fraternity – Nurse Educator’s meetings are also conducted for personal interactions in sharing knowledge and life experiences in the mission. Effective classes and spiritual activities are done during these sessions in order to rejuvenate those who are serving in this field.
