The idea of establishing a new venture in the Diocese of Sagar (M.P.) began as we are working in collaboration with the Diocese at Vidisha. It was the idea of our former Provincial Council (Sr. Celine Alapat & Council) to start a school for the children living in the remotest villages of Vidisha District. The former Bishop Anthony Chirayath of
Diocese of Sagar supported us to go ahead with our plan. Our first two pioneer sisters, Sr. Agatha Kujur and Sr. Manisha Minj came to Gyaraspur on 8th June 2018 and started to live in a rented house called Ashoka Garden, Olinja 1 km away from Gyaraspur. The hard work of our sisters bore fruit thus it was the good beginning as the responses of the people were positive.
We began the Play School with 27 kids on 01-07-2018. The foundation stone for the school was laid on the auspicious day 31-10-2018 the Feast of our Founder Rev. Fr. Mathias Wolff. The foundation stone was blessed and laid by Rt. Rev. James Athikalam, the Bishop of Sagar Diocese in the presence of Rev. Sr. Mukta Xess, the Provincial Superior and Sr. Rajamma Gali. JMJ sisters from Bhopal and Vidisha were also present for the laying of the foundation stone. Rev. Fr. Sabu, Vicar General of the Diocese of Sagar along with few more Priests and FCC sisters were present.
On 01-04-2019 we got the registration and recognition for the school till Class-8th. The five classrooms were blessed on 20-06-2019 to begin the Academic Year from 24-06-2019. At present we are running the classes from Nursery to III with a total strength of 160 students. Mostly the children are from surrounding villages within the range of 20 kms. Parents have their own transportation in bringing the children.
